I first enlisted on the 15th September 2010. I was one of the few Europeans in the brigade and often found myself in lobby's filled with scary Americans. I decided to enlist because Aztec had been complaining at me for ages for not doing it. I remember I had just had my birthday and the next day he was forcing me to sign up. I may not of wanted to sign up then but now I am glad I did.
I found my enlistment easy (not including my horrible grammar) and knew I would be accepted if I just kept up what I was doing and within in a week I had a obtained 100 merit and a sponsor. I did my boot camp at 1:00am and despite me being incredible tired I manage to pull it of and be accepted as one of the few European members of The Dropshock Brigade.
The First days
My first days/weeks in Dropshock were amazing. I was talking to members such as Darkangle,Proto and gungrave who all soon found out how much fun it was to play (mock) with Goose. I know they were only kidding around and were just having fun so I joined in and everyone lived happily ever after.....
The Fall
Soon after I had just settled in we had a new comer, but this wasn't just any new comer... this one was Irish. Notorious was a funny guy and I loved to play with him, we got along and I decided to sponsor him. However, during Notorious enlistment I helped him with his exam and was punished. Lucky, commanding officer Syphex happened to be in a good mood and let me of with a rather large warning. My promotion was set back, I lost 400 merit and was banned from sponsoring till 2011. A lot to pay but I deserved it however, due to me owning up to this I was promoted not to long after and had just got back on track. I hope never to do that again.
The leave and the return
A new set of rules was placed that stated we had to attend practices for 1-2 hours and spend at least 70% of our gaming time on halo reach. The practice part I could understand but I didn't think the 70% part was right. So, I met up with Aztec on Saturday to deliver papers and we both brought up our issues. We both agreed with each other and later on I was informed that majority of the members were leaving due to these new rules. Me being a sheep at the time followed every one into the TSOE. At first It was great, we had our own website, every one was happy and it all just came together really well... apart from one thing. We had all stop playing with each other and it started to become a chore to do so. So on new years eve (23:50) I left TSOE and came back to Dropshock just before 2011. Do I regret leaving Dropshock? Yes and no. Leaving did teach me that running all this is hard work and all of high/low command really do work hard for all of us, but in leaving I was less likely to be promoted on return as we had pissed of our leading officer (Flash). I didn't mean to annoy him but I guess we did. However due to his love of the English (and fifa) he welcomed us back with opening arms.
New Victor?
Upon my (and several others) return victor had gained several members. At first I thought this would be weird having the new comers above us but then realised that it was fair enough if they were. New member turtlez was a great person to talk to and lives fairly close to me and aztec. I look forward to meeting him. Vode was a new member soon to become CO of a new platoon. I had mixed opinions about this. I thought that I wasn't fair that he would get it and that he had only been here a month or two, I did know that I would not get that place I just thought it would be better if an long timing member took this place. However now I realise that I shouldn't of thought those things as vode has become a great leader of his own platoon.
New Platoon!
Another European platoon? That was the question on everyone's mind. Victor numbers had gone up and soon became the largest platoon with even more recruits to come. It was only sensible to split and create a new platoon. We were split up with vode and gungrave leading one and Flash and nitro leading the other. However, there were more changes then just a new European Platoon... we had our own company! Delta. Delta is filled with Europeans that all get on well with each other,joke about and have a good time.
I have stayed in victor platoon and am glad as I always see victor as the main European platoon.Also, I enjoy having flash as my leader and nitro as an XO.
The Legends
Aztec-You are probable my best mate in real life and are always there for me when I need someone.You got me to sign up so all the moments I have had are thanks to you. Thank you (I also really like your gaming chair).
Gungrave-It is true you make fun of me al lot, but I know some where in you you think of me as a friend. I am always up for your humour whether it is aimed at me or some little kid we meet on line.
Notorious-Thanks for being Irish... and not stabbing me with your rusty knife. You are funny and great to play with.
Turtlez-You are very funny,will always play with me and cheer me up when I am down. You also share my hatred towards armour lock.
Flash-You have stuck with me for a while and have let me show you what I can do. I am glad that you are leading me.
Maverick-I am sorry for pronouncing your name wrong every time I talk to you but, I thank you for being the nicest person in Delta(Apart from all the rapist jokes).
Nitro-How are you so good at halo.... Please teach me one day. You are also a great guy to talk to and I hope I do more of it in the future.
Saracen-You are very funny and enjoy playing with me (I think). When we do play together you talk to me like I am a person even thought gungrave tells you not to.
Valorious-Thank you for streaming what you do just on my request and just being nice in general .You are a great leader and gamer, I know you will do fine in the future.
I could easily type something great about every one in the brigade but I don't have the time. If you do want me to say something though please do just ask.It is great to be here and I hope everyone can put up with me.
