The connector is smaller than the normal optical cable. The Mixamp has less inputs than the older 2011 version. Sorry, I have a strong nerd accent. It's difficult to understand and I miss the point a lot.

Shatter, I know what none of what you said means besides that yes it uses optical input.

And it's mini-Toslink. I had to buy an adapter because I use my longest cables for my mixamp.

The new 2012-13 mixamp uses only optical input. You can use the MP3 input which is 3.5mm, but that doesn't do the Dolby Surround Sound and the mixing is pretty bad.

Short answer, they can as long as you get the mixamp (included in the $250 audio system package).

The A40s must always have an active internet connection or they won't allow game sound to play. I don't suggest buying those... #microsoft
