What can I say, I just found a group of people who play games together. What am I saying, I found more than that, I found a band of brothers and sisters, yes I rememberer you, and was introduced to a small group of Bravo Company soldiers.
These soldiers were known as Informer, Yeoman, Backfatter who is now Jocund, Exodus, who is now Kakashi and SGT. Gonuts. Vibez, was also there, and i made the mistake of annoying him. So after a couple of games with these Bravo members, I was asked whether I would like to join. I accepted happily, and went about making my account and filling in the enlistment form, and writing a cheesy autobiography to go with it. After obtaining the 100 merit, in 5 days, I asked Gladdy is he would sponsor me, and he happily accepted. Soon after I attended boot camp with Sgt Exodus, as he was at the time, and passed it. I started the entrance exam immediately after, finishing it 4 and a half hours later due to me forgetting about it and continuing on playing Halo. I was accepted into the brigade and placed in Bravo Company, under 2Lt. Callisto, now 1Lt. Callisto, and Sgt Exodus, now Corporal Kakashi.
Due to personal reasons I was forced to go on a fortnight long LoA five days after acceptance. After that things returned to normal, Kakashi got demoted, and two new sergeants emerged. Cashmere and Yeoman were both promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and both were welcomed into the NCO club.
A couple of months passed and nothing really special happened, until a fateful day when I was warned by Sgt. Cashmere that I needed to check the site, as Callisto was very annoyed with something I did. I immediately grabbed my laptop, and went to the homepage, and what do I see? "Jimjam + Private First Class". I immediately went off at Cashmere for scaring me, and my happy anger, was met with joyous laughter from Cash, and every other DSB member in the game.
The fall of Victor was a sad occurrence, and Bravo suffered greatly from their loss, but we will push on, and continue to strive for greatness, ever setting our boundaries wider and wider.
On the 25th of November I returned from a 54 day LoA, and was happy to see that Sierra was still as commanding as ever, commanding of respect that is. I attended an, interesting, grenade practice of Jocund's, in which we were informed by Callisto that Sierra had been split into two platoons. Some would stay in Sierra, while others, under the lead of Sgt. Cashmere, would form Oscar Platoon. And so, the new Sierra was formed, lead by the Richardson brothers, Yeoman and Informer, we will go far. Yeoman, Informer, Panda, Ankau, Perry, Tungsten and myself will prove that we are deserving of the title 'Sierra'. I went to to go sleep that night, at about 12:05am, so I did a final check of the site forums, and what do I see? 1. Jimjam + Specialist. 2. Informer + Corporal. I literally fainted in joy, and awoke 9 hours later at 9:30 am, then checked the forums again, thinking I must have been dreaming, but no, I was a Specialist.
2012 Started with a bang, my brother, Keith, accepted into the brigade, and me finally acquiring my 3000 merit ribbon. All was not well though, as due to school matters and a couple of personal issues, I had no choice but to apply for resignation. Another big blow to Bravo was the retirement of 2nd Lt. Cashmere, the former CO of Oscar platoon. With him going for his own reasons, Sierra's XO, Sgt. Informer, was transferred over to Oscar platoon, and became their CO. This was a hard blow to handle as I had a good friendship with Cashmere, and Informer was a brother in arms, as we had been in the same platoon since my acceptance into the brigade. I do hope to return when I am able, though it will be a year at least. After my first term report card showed a significant increase in my marks, and all the free time I had, I requested to be unretired to help with the logistics of Bravo Company.I was allowed to return at my prior rank of Specialist, and instead of being placed in a platoon, remain a free member of Bravo, but for roster's sake, I'm the logistic assistant of Bravo Command. I awoke today to find 2Lt. Cashmere had also unretired, and was very pleased to know that Bravo was getting back some of it's older members. I awoke on the 7 of July for another school day, and checked the site not expecting to see much, but then I notice my rank symbol has changed, and that on the front page I had been promoted to Lance Corporal. That covers up to the 7 July 2012.
