 | UNSC Biography | My life before joining Dropshock Brigade until the present day.
Chapter One - The Potential Peak.
The main reason that I left my old clan was because I reached my limit with those guys. I was their Northwest so to speak and I was always playing in the TS playlist all of the time. At this time, I was extremely bored of playing with 12-14 year old kids who did not communicate and all they did was complain so I left in search of a higher level, the level I could not break. Although I utterly respect my old clan leader as he is still putting up with same things even today. The search for a higher level of power began.
Chapter Two -The Searching is Over
Having split with the Devils of Eden clan, I was a lone wolf walking down the streets of Reach with my DMR and Sniper combo going positive every game when I got to the point that I would not get any better without committing my life to Halo so I was thinking of quitting competitive Halo altogether. When I got a game invite from Frostbyte. Of course, without hesitation, I accepted the invite.
In the party was me, Frostbyte and Demonic. What happened next in my eyes was predictable but very tempting nonetheless. Frostbyte invited me here to enlist into Dropshock Brigade. Of course, I had my mind set on other things since I was planning to make a clan of super elite soldiers who I met over my halo gaming career who proved themselves to me that they can be took to the next level. However, I got little interest in it so I therefore decided it was my only option but enlist. The search was over.
Chapter Three - The Process
As I first visited this site, I knew almost immeadietly that doing well in the brigade would take a long time and a lot of determination. Before enlisting I read a bit of the field manual to see what it would take to become a successful ODST and as I expected it would require a lot of work and a high amount of quality.
I completed the enlistment which took me an hour or so to finish and instantly got great feedback from some high ranking members of the brigade. Having liked the response, I instantly jumped into getting my 100 merit which I gave myself a limit of 15-25 merit as to give myself enough time to settle in before getting to the hard parts.
It took me 5 days to get 100 merit and take boot camp which I found easy due to the fact that knew a lot of call-outs and the team that we had during it won all of our matches. Pleased with myself, I decided to take the enlistment exam straight away before I got to sleep. Have taken an hour and a half to do so I went to sleep and wait for my results.
It took a while for my first results came through but I soon realised why. I failed the first time due to the fact that my answers were very similar to the field manual. Having realised this, I re-took and put all of my answers into my own words and passed the exam the second time round.
Chapter Four - The Only EU
When I became a Private, I was placed into Charlie Company under Ltc. Equinox and Sgt. Reactive and I knew when enlisting into the brigade that I would have timezone issues with the other members but Equinox understood my problem and he gave me the job of Intelligence officer which meant I could put some work into the brigade without me sitting there doing nothing. My role was to assess our opponents and evaluate them whilst suggest the correct course of action to tip the balance into Charlie favour.
Chapter Five - First Clan Match
As hard as it was to make it to practices, clan matches were the easiest for me to attend since they were held an hour earlier so it gave me a chance to take part in a couple. In my first match was held at 1:30am in the morning against Wolves at War. I was tired, I could not speak otherwise my family would wake up. So I was not even at 50% of my usual play but I took part nonetheless. I still managed to pull off some good numbers whilst helping my team win the games to sweep WoW 3-0. I went to sleep very quickly in order to not get caught being up early in the morning.
Chapter Six - Tournament Clan Match
There comes a time and a place where someone has to do whatever it takes to win and attending this clan match was key. Since the other clan was an EU clan the match was scheduled just outside my usual playing time but I stayed on regardless of being unable to communicate after the 1st game but since it was earlier I was playing a whole lot better even keeping up with Equinox on the stats numbers. By doing this our team won just against Halo Wheelmen 2-1 but it was close games after being 1-0 down.
Chapter Seven - Changes
A week later, I was promoted to Private First Class but a while later Equinox retired and Omi (Vitamin) took charge of Charlie and I knew that there would be a few changes to Charlie Company that would have mixed responses. The first one being the scrapping of the company jobs, this was the only thing I did that contributed to Charlie so I got permission to host practices so I hosted one on a weekend to get the highest amount of members to attend. Only 2 turned up for the practice after a couple of others that said they wanted to attend but didnt show, I was a bit annoyed but enjoyed having something to do within Charlie.
Chapter Eight - Not this again
Some of you were wondering how this incident happened between myself, Omi and Charlie Company so I will say it from my perspective. I got on XBL on that day without checking the site first still wearing the green tag when I realised a few members from Charlie were already online including Omi and Equinox so I wondered if something was happening so I got on Reach to find Omi go offline after leaving their party and then I get an invite from Deuce into an XBL party so I joined to hear them talking about a certain member of the brigade. Not realising at the time, I carried on listening till the party realised I was there and informed me that I had been removed from Charlie Company due to the fact that I could not attend practices.
From my opinion that was fair enough I was fine with the decision but the way it was dealt with, it was like turning up for work one day with the manager showing me the door telling me that I had been fired and telling me to leave. I was extremely downed by this and then everyone had to go. This left me time to think.
Chapter Nine - Decisions
Whilst thinking about what happened earlier that day, a thought came through about leaving the brigade due to this decision since I had been thrown out of Charlie expected to go to Bravo Company, but then I would have to cope with unplayable Austrailian lag, Then I thought about the future since due to my heavy workload expected from going to College, it would put me back in the same spot as when I was in Charlie.
Chapter Ten - A New Home
I had no choice, fortunatly for me Callisto was on and he explained about me joining Bravo Company as well as me informing him of my problems of my time here in the brigade unless a EU company is formed before September. He took me in anyway and made at least 1 practice a week attendable for my sake.
Chapter Eleven - Changes again
Coping with the change from Charlie to Bravo took a couple of days, I knew that our EU count would have to riise in order for me to cope with the Austrailian lag that I was getting and it was hitting my gameplay hard as I was not going positive even on the maps I always go positive on which was annoying me greatly.
Thankfully though some EU recruits made it into the brigade and I blew a sigh of relief since coping with lag has been made easier for me and my gameplay is since returning to normal. Also I got promoted to Specialist at this time so that gave me something to smile about.
Chapter Twelve - Leading a Platoon
As soon as our numbers hit 7 we got our own platoon. This was the birth of Victor Platoon the birth of a new generation of Dropshock Brigade Europeans. Within the first couple of weeks I had already impressed my CO's as I was leading a organised and structured platoon under my wing and with them we will go far.
Chapter Thirteen - The Rise of Victor Platoon
During my time leading the platoon we had many victories and only one loss but nevertheless we continued to strive towards our goal. To be one of the best European divisions in the Reach community. We did both Non-MLG and MLG practices and the best of it is we had fun and that was all that mattered but the others had other plans.
Chapter Fourteen - The Fall of Victor Platoon
During the 2011 MLG National Championships which I was watching someone or something triggered everyone in Victor Platoon apart from myself to leave the Dropshock Brigade. During this, many questions went through my head, What?, Why?. Obviously someone had planned this a while ago but obviously by not sorting this out both myself and Command are not safety nets. If they return they will never get their ranks back. |
