Interview:
Aztec: Hey guys, this week I have a Private First Class with me as requested, please introduce yourself mate.
Notorious: Hello I'm Pfc. Notorious, also more commonly known as Irish.
Aztec: So Irish, what do you get up to when not on your Xbox?
Notorious: Well I go to school, play hurling with my local team and read quite a lot. Mostly I just play Xbox though.
Aztec: Nice, so where are your gaming roots?
Notorious: Well, I started gaming when I was about five and my first console was a Playstation 2. Crash Bandicoot FTW.
Aztec: You should checkout the Brigade youtube, Flash has been doing a playthrough of Crash Bandicoot: Warped, you can actually find a link to those videos below.
Aztec: What tips would you give to a new member in order to get noticed?
Notorious: Well attend practice, try and get a platoon job like helping out with foreign relations in your platoon and just try and do your best to help out when someone needs it. Welcoming newer recruits is also a good move, remember, the more members there are, the more people will be needed to manage them.
Aztec: Moving on, what's you opinion of Halo: 4 so far?
Notorious: I think it looks great like 343 put a lot of effort into giving Halo fans something they would remember. It should also bring in lots of new members and we could hit straight into a golden age of the Brigade.
Aztec: Agreed. So we've heard rumours of a new battalion, how does that sound to you?
Notorious: Sounds great, the brigade has never been better in my opinion a new battalion would only enhance that effect. Let’s just hope we can find an effective way to keep together as a team and not get some unnecessary rivalries going on.
Aztec: We're going have to make this quick as I'm stuck for time, but would you like to shout anyone out for being great?
Notorious: Affliction, Crayola and Wolfdragon for all being awesome!
Aztec: Haha
Aztec: So whom would you recommend interviewing next week?
Notorious: Equinox, I think he’d be an interesting interviewee..
Aztec: Ok, thanks for joining me!
Notorious: You're welcome.
Gaming News:
So I planned to just jam this section with E3 news, but fortunately, our two amazing reporters known as SSgt. Darknight and Cpl. Rugs have been releasing their daily articles that really do the job for me. For that reason I'll be carrying on as usual and just summarizing the weeks most recent couple of days news.
Starting with Rugs, we have coverage of Nintendo at E3. We have this quote from IGN that pretty much sums up the work on Nintendo Land. "The seemingly impossible has happened... again. Previously limited to guest appearances and Masahiro Sakurai's Super Smash Bros. series, Nintendo's characters have rarely set foot in each others' realms, merely satisfied to exist within the grander scheme of gaming excellence. Until now. Nintendo has finally found a way to bring 12 classic franchises, big and small, under one roof. As a way of introducing Wii U and its GamePad controller to the world, Nintendo has created Nintendo Land for release this Holiday."
Secondly is how Minecraft on XBL Arcade has hit an amazing 2,000,000 copies sold, it sold 1,000,000 on it's first day alone and that is absolutely unseen before.
Finally it's the very short section that at essentials, links a URL from Kotaku that'll let you keep up to date with all the E3 latest stories. That article can be found here and contains more detail on each of those points.
Moving on to Darknight, he has done an excellent job of covering all the Halo: 4 you could bare, so for that reason, I'm throwing it all into one huge paragraph.
So, a link to the E3 campaign walkthrough is the foundation and in all honesty, it looks beautiful. This release will be the kick-off of a brand new trilogy of Halo games, each of them being produced again by 343 Industries. Halo 4 will star Master Chief while he “returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe” while you blast your way through enemy after enemy. This game will be big, ladies and gentlemen, very big.
Secondly, we have some quotes from 343i that cover Spartan Ops. "And Spartan Ops is an attempt to get players who focus on the single-player story campaign to go online, or players of the online multiplayer combat modes to try the cooperative modes, Holmes says.
At the outset, players create their own Spartan super-soldier (Master Chief is a top-level Spartan). Achievements and attributes earned in Spartan Ops carry over into the multiplayer modes and vice versa. "Players build a Spartan character that represents them and their own personal play style online," Holmes says. "It's one persistent character and career that spans both the competitive and cooperative experience."
With a full-fledged story, cooperative Spartan Ops and multiplayer modes, Halo 4 promises to be anything but spartan. An early look reveals a beefed-up Master Chief with improved animations and smoother movement, a sexy Cortana and intricately rendered environments."
Bring on November!! (Killswitch)
If you want the news quicker than we can report, his final section has a few links you can follow to keep up to date for all you dedicated people. All those stories can be found here.
Summary of Departments:
A new segment now, this is going to be a speedy summary of our recruitment, media and foreign relations departments work over the past week.
Starting with the media department, they have been a little quiet recently with no videos being posted in the past 2 weeks. But, the most recent was a tips and tricks video on MLG Countdown v7. This is lead by Entropy and you can learn a crap tonne from it so definitely go and check it out using the link here.
Onto the recruitment department, these guys have been keeping threads up to date and making sure we get all the publicity we possibly clan. Without them I'm sure our member count was be dwindling at the moment so definitely be sure to snatch up any openings wherever possible. Alike them, we have our foreign relations team, headed up by Affliction and having the following members as assistants: SSgt. Darknight, LCpl. Zigalo, LCpl. Aztec, Spc. Tank, Spc. Warthog, Pfc. Maverick, Pfc. Notorious, Pvt. Reaven and Pvt. Valhalla. These guys are getting you matches and earning us all publicity the same way as the recruitment guys.
Conclusion:
Sorry for the less quality of this weeks bulletin, I have filled in all categories but had far less time to do it in and far more things to cram in!
