Please understand that the program I use puts those white parts when I have an image consisting entirely of text as was my first 13 images. That extra space would not be part of the greater logo if any of them where to be used.

Vitamin, alot of these would look great on t-shirts and if a marketplace is opened on the site these could be a very good product. I I know a website that im familiar with a could make a couple just for the heck of it.

I've got an idea for a logo but lack the graphics experience. Basically i was thinking the Legendary difficulty Logo but with a ODST Helmet and DMR's instead of Swords and drop pod instead of a shield. If you understand what I'm saying.
If anyone can do that I reakon potentially it could look really good.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Although, that wouldn't differ much from ODST's legendary shield, as it would just have replacement of DMRs over SMGs. I have seen variations of the skull and ODST helmet before, so I'm not sure how far we could get with that. I would like to see someone give it a try (Ventura?) though.
I've been thinking of something like a family crest, the shield (or drop pod perhaps in this case) idea, but that's as far as I stemmed and my examples aren't really worth showing yet lol.

Out of all current images, I would choose Gladdy's. Relates to Halo and our clan the most, while still being somewhat unique. Of course, make it more professionally done as well.

Suggestion: Make the ODST helmet with a cracked visor or something in the graphics. It would look pretty epic and it would symbolize the Legendary symbol a little bit more accurately in my opinion.

Alright, got a decent shield. Made it to have more of a modern feel to it.
I'm working on another one with a grunge-metallic texture to it with another hawk like silhouette.

I'll look into getting some good vector wings going, I've also wanted to do that scroll with the text, but haven't quite figured out yet.
Was planning to do a scroll sort of facing up that reads, "Dropshock" somewhere above the shield, and one below facing half down that reads, "Brigade". Any specific ideas, color variations, designs you'd like to see Omi?

Alright, here's the logo that I fiddled around with for a while. Photoshop Elements is quite horrid for editing pictures. You can only bevel and emboss TEXT, you have to copy / paste the settings from the text onto any other part of the picture you want.
( Forgive the white outline that seems to hug the image itself, Photoshop Elements is misbehaving and refusing to fix that little error. )

Brilliant job Grakus, I would have to say that is probably my favorite logo out of them all so far. I like how you have shaped the shield and the banner along with the magnificent golden eagle in the middle. I reckon if you could put a few more minutes of editing and improvement to make it slightly less bright, I think it will look pretty sweet.

Alright, I know I'm posting a lot, it just seems I'm constantly finding one little thing about my image to tweak. Being a perfectionist kind of sucks sometimes.
I added some shadows behind the image to give it some depth. That's about all I really did this time. It seemed too flat before. It's also been slightly scaled so it's smaller as well.

Seeing how nothing else on our site is glossy/shiny, I think it would be best to have it more like the rank insignia's, or the style that Elliot likes to use. More solid colors with the scanlines. It would also fit in better with the rest of the news logo's we have.

@Gladdy: Personally, I dislike that shield shape, it's more of a badge than anything else. I was contemplating using a Drop-Pod instead, perhaps you could explore that avenue for me? I think it would like pretty cool.
My only other gripe is that I dislike how close the text at the top 'Dropshock' is practically touching the Phoenix. Could you raise it a bit higher?

I respectfully disagree, Vitamin. The point of the emblem is so that it stands out and pops, not so it blends in with the rest of the background. Color scheme wise it matches the Brigade and it fits the decor. However, it just doesn't sit with all of the other clutter we have here on the site and it proudly displays who we are.
I personally dislike 'flat' images, our emblem should have some kind of depth to it, which involves shading, gradients, embosses, and bevels.

I took some graphic classes in high school. I always thought that flat images were kind of dull looking, but if they had some kind of incorperated design like shadow or paint splatter grunge t-shirts then its looks good. Grakus why don't you try incorperating that into your logo.

The glow kinda was a mistake, but i was rushing so i decided to leave it there looking at it now it is a downside to it. Also the look I was going for is a for simpler and unique look, I'm seeing a lot of shields so I thought i would add a little more variety.

To be honest, I was reluctant to leave the gray-scale simply because I didn't want our logo to look as if we favored one company or the other. I'd have to incorporate every platoon color into the image and that would just be heavily contrasting, which is why I kept to Gray, White, Gold, and Black.
This is my final entry here unless if someone specifically asks me to update something with this. Personally, I like this one the least, but I was told it was pretty good, so I'm putting it up anyways.
