At long last the Dropshock Brigade's Halowars Beta has been released to a select few people! Random guys and people who probably don't deserve it will be able to have early access to the game. We've only got like 20,000 codes or something so make sure to spam the forums complaining about everything, and make sure to beg for a code as well, it's your only chance!
C3MTM-XK386-QMTM7-XXVJB-TCGMQ
On a serious note. Here's the lowdown on the showdown.
Updates:
-Production has been decreased to game parameters. No multiplier.
-Huge image swaps.
-Name changes, other superficial stuff.
Basically, just to do the image swaps, took me my entire day. I had to sit there and crop those images from a huge resource image, and make sure the image was the right size, the pixels were perfect, then link stuff up, code stuff, omg you don't even know. My arm hurt halfway through.
Anyways,
-Enjoi

... Honestly? That's all you did? You changed a few things, yes... names and the layout and you got rid of the officers... did that truly require a reset of the entire server? I guess so, to some degree, but still...

He reset the Halo Wars server, the O-Game, whatever you want to call it. He changed a bunch of stuff around, not that much, to be honest, got rid of a bunch of things, and then reset it all.
Now we're all back at step one and a bunch of the features we had from the previous games are no longer there. Also: by the way, Omi, the 'Dreadnaught's' description is still labeled as a Death Star.

Oh wow, only 100 lots available this time for buildings... oh, and is anyone else having problems not being able to put more than 1 building in the build que?

No matter what we had to reset. No more of that x500 crap. It actually takes time now. Can't change rates without resetting server.
Edit: Just like the real game, you only build one thing at a time.

I'm with rusteh. I miss the Build Que and the fact that I SPENT SO MUCH TIME GETTING WHERE I WAS.

It got more like the real game.
....Yes. Energy still matters.

Uh, Vitamin. Just a quick question: if we were having fun playing the game as it was, we were enjoying it, and we didn't want to play the real game because of how it was compared to the one we had, what makes you think we'll enjoy playing it now that it's almost exactly like the actual game?
I believe the phrase: if it isn't broken, why fix it, fits in here.

I mean, the building que is what really pissed me off.
That thing was what made the game enjoyable. We could set it up and leave it and let it do its work while we went to school or work.
Putting that in there is like Taking forge out of reach. Its not right, bro.

I bet Vitamin was jealous.

Kind of my point, the game has now lost it's appeal. I mean, we poured our time into the game and now it's not only going to take longer to build up to get back to where we were, we can't even set it up so if we have busy schedules we can't queue up multiple things and let them play out over the course of the day.

On top of making it more like the game, it pretty much just ended up slowing everything down.
Things I wish weren't *Fixed*
Resource Gain
Building Que
