| Aztec's Weekly Bulletin #5 | |
| | DSB News:
We begin with the illusive DSB Universe news; after going down for a few days, it's back! Rumors were circulating that suggested a few bug fixes and some Spanish - English translation, but after using it again for a while, it seems to be the same as before.
Kou currently holds #1 position in the universe, and after reaching Level 3 he has found the 'Knights of the Round' alliance and has managed to collect 8 members, 4 of whom are in the top 10. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with so get earning points and make your own alliances. I have some plans of my own already, but you'll have to wait to see what those are.
In promotion news, 2Lt. Cashmere has returned from retirement and is back to act as XO of Bravo Company and kick ass equally. 3 Aussies have also reached Private First Class this week, shoutout to Angelz, Crumby and August, all of whom have achieved this rank. Crisaman also got accepted yesterday so congrats to him and I hope you enjoy your time with us!
Onto the interview!
Interview
Aztec: Welcome back guys, this week I have managed to secure myself an interview with Ltc. Vitamin R himself. So to start with, tell us who you are for anyone that may have been living under a rock.
Omi: I'm the leader of the Dropshock Brigade.
Aztec: Couldn't have put it better myself. So what do you up to outside of the Brigade? University I believe?
Omi: Manning School of Business at University of Massachusetts Lowell, but I plan to be transferring to the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst for next year.
Aztec: And after that? A trip around the world or straight into the workplace?
Omi: Haven't determined that yet. I'll get a job, and maybe lead the Brigade on the side.
Aztec: As long if you stay with us I think we'll be fine with that. So, what went on with DSB Universe going down, there were a lot of rumors flying about?
Omi: It's classified.
Aztec: Darn. So, Halo 4. After Reach do you think it could recapture MLG attention and maybe kick Halo back into the mainstage?
Omi: I am sure it will, 343i seems to be catering to MLG a bit more than Bungie did with Reach. In my opinion they should just remake Halo3 with better graphics. Regardless, I'm not too worried about where Halo goes, the Brigade will find it's path just fine.
Aztec: I heard you were the king of Halo 3, is this true?
Omi: I won't lie, I was pretty darn good at it. Those were the days when not many people from the Brigade could touch me on the battlefield, and teams were offbalanced by me easily. But those days are gone; I lost a lot of time when Reach came out.
Aztec: Who'd make up your perfect Halo 3 team, would Rusteh be featuring?
Aztec: I'm talking a 4 man team in this case.
Omi: Probably Syphex, Equinox, and myself. The forth wouldn't really matter, as long as it wasn't Scragg.
Aztec: Scragg isn't amused. Anyway, what has been the highlight of your Brigade history?
Omi: Probably
Aztec: Founding it?
Omi: Eh, it was kind of lonely back then.
Omi: Just Serina, myself, and the headquarters
Aztec: Damn. At least now you've got a mighty 79 members.
Omi: That number might get cut in half very soon.
Aztec: You heard it here first. I won't go and state what I can infer from that, I'll let the comments serve that purpose.
Aztec: So, any shoutouts for especially good work, loyalty or any other positives?
Omi: The other day I was playing with Dragon, and I liked the way he went about the pregame planning just for a simple MLG Scrimmage between clan members. He made sure to assess each of the opponents because we knew them, and build a plan based off of it. I really like to see the critical thinking at that level.
Omi: Also Serina is doing a good job, doing…whatever she does.
Aztec: Keeping the chatroom running as usual. Wrecking some kids on DSB Universe.
Aztec: Seems like enough in itself really.
Omi: Yeah, she was playing pretty aggressively. Someone must have pissed her off. But it looks like she got bored of it and stopped playing.
Aztec: Hmm, Kou's going to have an easy run from here, specifically with the new alliance he's kicked off.
Aztec: Want to drop a name for next weeks interview?
Omi: You should interview Syphex about his charity.
Aztec: Same as Deucey then eh? I'll see what I can do. I'd like to thank my guest Vitamin R (Omi) for joining me this week and look forward to the heights he can bring the Brigade to.
Omi: The pleasure was mine.
Gaming News:
Summary of the last couple of days coming right up, starting with Rugs this week.
The very first article is regarding the launch of Minecraft on XBL Arcade. My sister's currently playing it right behind me and we bought it as did the 1 million people as it broke the record for XBL Arcade sales by far within the first 24 hours.
The second section covers the changing up of FIFA heading into FIFA 13. There will be 5 main new features that you'll be able to tryout this fall, there's 'complete dribbling', 'attacking intelligence' and 'first touch control'. More news will be coming in the following months and that'll definitely be covered and you can read about it right here. To find out what each of those features mean, head to the article!
Finally we have some Diablo III news, this talks about how a Diablo fanatic by the name of 'Yoshichan' managed to finish the game in only 12 hours and 29 minutes! The most amazing part is that he isn't even the fastest, 2 groups are recorded to have done so in 7 hours! You can read more about this and other news here.
Moving straight into DK's article, the first covers a piece of supposed box art for Halo 4. You'll need to see it first, but it looks amazing even if not legit.
Halo 4 again for the second section, is Halo 4 almost finished? Well in a recent 360Magazine, Holmes quoted: 'We’re in that final stretch and you can see it all now coming together after years of labour and it feels really good.' More official news, please?
For the finale, we have a little back and forth regarding the Xbox 720. You can read about that and see the quote battle by heading to his thread here.
Conclusion:
Thanks for reading, please do drop a comment and a rating down below! Feel free to suggest next weeks interviewee, I'm looking to get Syphex at the moment. Have a great week everyone! | |
