Hey everyone, aside from my Halo endeavors, some of you may or may not know that music is my biggest passion. I'm currently in the process of starting school again for audio production/recording, and will be getting my original music copyrighted hopefully sometime this month (*crosses fingers*). After that happens, you can expect a lot of recordings of my original music to be posted on here =P haha most of it will be acoustic, with RnB/rock/progressive influence.
I'm generally into anything - although I have a strong preference to Rock/Soul/Rnb.
Just to give perspective:
My favorite bands are Dance Gavin Dance/Circa Survive, but I love acoustic
RnB singers such as Jeremy Managdo aka Passion, Gabe Bondoc, etc and just so many other talented people/bands like Queen, Robin Thicke, James Morrison, Alicia Keys, The Beatles, Jason Mraz, the list can go on and on hahaa
^ Anywho, I recently created a remix of Usher's "Climax" - it features youtube singer/songwriter Erika David and singer/producer Travis Garland on the track.
Here's the link - there's a download link, lyrics, and links to the original covers on the description bar!
(if you like it, please sub/share with your friends - down load it and bump it in your car, etc haha just have a good time with it)
That's an awesome remix Callous. Music is one of my biggest passions. I literally cannot go anywhere or do anything without listening to music, there's always headphones in my ear. I myself play 2 instruments, the drums and cello ( I know, they're on complete and total opposite ends of the noise spectrum), and I've been doing both for about 8 years now. Do you like orchestral influences as well in your music?
"I will always place the mission first,
I will never accept defeat,
I will never quit,
I will never leave a fallen comrade."
yes! when its done correctly, mixing more classical instruments with newer more 'popular' music is amazing. I played the clarinet for 5 years, and those were some amazing memories with music. Its awesome that you play those 2 instruments, it keeps you super diverse - and thats something very needed in music today, people stay very closed in to one certain style, which is fine, but branching out is what makes you unique and can help you perfect what you love.
Thanks so much for listening to my remix, btw haha.

Yes, it is sorely needed in today's music unfortunately. I personally enjoy Coldplay's, OneRepublic's and even a couple Finger Eleven songs because of the diversity they contain. Coldplay and OneRepublic are most likely the 2 best examples of modern bands that have seriously incorporated excellent string/orchestral elements into their songs to the best effect. One of the reasons I love Halo so much is because of its music and the effects that the drums and strings create when the two are put together.
