| I think that it will be an interesting innovation. I'd love to see how it plays out.

| I believe that the DMR will be optimal for medium to long range combat. The BR is best for close to medium range, due to it's new "recoil" system.

| I don't like how they are different in strength... that will be very confusing and annoying to get used to. Isn't it the BR that is less powerful than the DMR at long range?
I'm glad I have enemies. That means I stood up for something in my life.

| Yes, the DMR is better at long range, and the BR is not.

Not technically less powerful, but less useful. Looking at previous games, the BR is more powerful per trigger pull (4 shots to kill vs 5), but less powerful per bullet (12 to kill vs 5). Since the BR burst has spread, it is more likely that you won't hit all three shots as the distance to your target increases. That makes the DMR more useful/powerful at distance just by considering old game mechanics. But it sounds like the BR is getting nerfed a bit in H4 to make it even less useful at long ranges.

Dual weild the DMR and BR. Problem solved. U mad, 343?
On a more serious note, i do love the Rock-Paper-Scissors concept that Halo: Reach is implementing into Halo 4. Every weapon should have a slightly useful counter, so that they don't become the end-all-be-all weapon and the other ones get no use whatsoever.
