| Delta Company vs WOT:
Attendance:
On Sunday the 11th of March, Delta Company met WOT for our first clan match as a company. It was a 5v5, best of 3 match and we ended up taking the win 2:0.
Match 1
(MLG Countdown v7 TS)
50:42
This was our very first match against these guys and were apprehensive regarding their ability. The first match we loaded was ended quickly due to huge connection issues meaning it was nearly unplayable. So we ran the host check and placed the person with the best connection as lobby leader. This meant the connection returned to regular and despite a couple of lag spikes during the match that was pretty much the end of that.
For the first real match we decided to have 2 people pushing for rockets (Nitro and Gungrave) whilst Pills went for balcony, I went for Sniper and Turtlez went to hold blue street. After Gunny got the rockets he pushed up to outside as to help Pills drop a couple of enemies on balcony. By that point Pills had be kikked and Turtlez was confronting a blue so Gunny dealt some Delta justice, blowing one of them off the map (as seen in the picture below). At this point the score was 5: 3.
(Gungrave dealing some Delta justice after getting rockets.)
From here we locked them to the lower levels and controlled the spawns of power weapons. They pretty much kept up with us and we had a scare to our control after they retook blue attic and vent then pushed out and almost took S3. But some solid rocket use pushed them back down to blue jetpack and basement meaning we could push ahead at the end and win 50: 42.
(WOT retaking top control starting with Gunny at 'Blue Vent'.)
Match 2
(MLG CTF on MLG Sanctuary v7)
3:0
After a pretty easy first match it was there choice and they decided on an objective gametype as slayer hadn't been working for them. I took host and put on both the v7 gametype and map before reassigning the player with the best connection to leader.
Our plan was simple, Nitro goes for sniper; Turtlez gets jetpack and lifts to prevent them getting rockets; Pills goes for 'jumpup' to get quick 'ring 2' control; Gunny goes down the center to hold off any rushers and I go to carbine as to neutralize their sniper and push into there half of the map. This worked excellently as you can see in the picture and we took map control and started to spawn lock quickly.
(Nitro grabs snipe and Turtlez jetpacks to stop them getting rockets.)
Gunny pushed into their side whilst they were 3 down and as I predicted they spawned at rocks where we held them off so Gunny could successfully capture. But as we locked them they pushed out and took complete control of our base, but fortunetely I managed to get the flag the final couple of metres into our base. Giving us a 1: 0 lead.
With that frantic cap we lost our 'ring 2' support so needed some solid plays as to retake it. Fortunetely the sniper spawned around now and with it in the hands of Nitro we could quickly capture it and secure the rockets to boot. With this combination we had an easy path into their objective and I began to run the flag through shotgun as Gungrave had before. I dropped the flag inches from a score as before but Turtlez quickly ran it in giving us a 2: 0 lead and again a lost 'ring 2'.
(Just like Flash taught me to juggle it...)
With a similar play to before but from 'carbine' we took map control and the flag cap came with it, giving us a peachy 3: 0 win and therefore a 2: 0 overall.
Honorable Mentions and Match Highlights:-Spc. Gungrave (+13 K/D second match.)
-Spc. Nitro (+9 K/D first match and +12 second.)
Debriefing and Possible Improvements:
Excellent matches guys and despite the connection issues at the start and end it was a great couple of matches. They put up a great fight and I hope there are many more in the future!
Thanks for reading! Please do comment on the quality of this report as they take a while to write at this standard.

| In your second paragraph you say that the score was 5:3. Yet that game was Team Slayer. Other than that, nice report Aztec.

Yeah it was, after the use of the rockets from Gunny. We had 5 kills, they had 3. Am I being stupid here?

| No I don't believe so. The score is so small I merely thought you had put in the wrong score. Now it all makes more sense, nice report. :)
