Last night we went into BTB on Hemorrhage with a team of 5 people. It was me, Black, HeadshotDot, Unstable H2o, and... I don't remember the 5th one. I think he was a buddy of headshotDot (not a clan member or recruit). We had some randoms assigned to us, but a couple of them bailed, and one of them got 0 kills, so he must have been AFK. it was basically the 5 of us against a full team of 8.
Within the first few minutes, the other team gained a commanding lead of between 10 and 15 kills. They were making good use of vehicles and power weapons, and we were playing poorly and without much coordination.
When the score was about 20-35 in the other team's favor, Unstable H20 took charge and began coordinating our comeback. He rallied the troops, gave excellent instructions and strategy suggestions, and made many excellent plays.
We gained and maintained control of vehicles, which was a HUGE turning point for us. We also made good use of the sniper rifle.
We ended up beating them 85-69; a solid victory. Unstable H20 had nearly half of our team's kills (somewhere in the high 30's). Combined with his leadership and strategy, he was by FAR the MVP of the game. Without him it would have been an embarrassing defeat.
On a minor side not, I feel like I had a bit of a breakthrough with my sniping. I had two sniper sprees and finished up with 17 kills total, which represents a bit of an improvement for me. I actually won two or three snipe-offs where the opposing team's sniper was trying to snipe me from their ridge when I was behind our base. I ducked behind cover, scoped in, popped out quickly, and got the shot before he could shoot me.
Here are some photos of my sniping:
This is the distance I was shooting from most of the time. I didn't actually do much shooting from this location, but this is a reasonable approximation of the view I had when sniping.
Here is the final snipe-off I had before the game ended. There are two players lined up here. One is on the hill in front of Blue Near Ledge, and the other is in Blue Tunnel.
First I head shot the one on the hill, because he was blocking my view of the one in the tunnel.
Then I quickly side-stepped into cover. I narrowlly missed getting shot, as the one in the tunnel fired on me. This is what it looked like from his position.
I remained scoped in, quickly popped out of cover and fired again. It was a headshot.
And this is what it looked like from his position.
Anyway, I think it was a fun game for everyone (well, everyone on our team). We all had a great learning experience. It was really rewarding to come from that far behind and end up winning so convincingly.
Thanks to Unstable H2o for taking the leadership role and doing such a great job.
H20 did you have a different gamertag back in the day? I remember two H20's who were friends, friends with someone named Sean. Anyway, loved the report. Glad your skills are coming along!
Thank you for the complements. About the game, Really it wasn't about me leading the team, but getting that fire in your heart to ignite and launch the team momentum forward. I did that by giving call out and suggestions but it was equally the team as a wholes part to lead us to victory.
The reason I had so many kills was in part, that fire you get when you know you are playing at the best. Also is was knowing that the team battling along side me would willingly follow me into hell. That allowed me to feel confidence in not only myself but in the whole team. I knew we were going to give the other team a run for there money. We just needed that fire.
Everyone I played with, it was an honor to kill along side you.

Nope, Unstable H2o has been my gamer tag from Halo 3. It's was the first gamer tag of mine that had H2o in it. Also I'm not part or ever been a part of a H2o clan. I just chose Unstable H2o because it sound cool =).
Rugs, you are joking right? Home court and Miami has all the momentum after that win. The Spurs still have a smallchance to win, but it would take a miracle for it to be a blow out.
