Just a couple pages on information on Halo 4 on the UK's OXM website that I thought you all might enjoy.
I personally found this section interesting, where it suggest Cortana may be an antagonist in Halo 4 or the next trilogy.
What about Cortana?
Well, she's an AI. AIs enter a state of Rampancy after seven years on the go - symptoms include delusions of grandeur, hatred of constraints, hatred of one's maker - and Cortana's lived a more... interesting life than most. She seems fairly compos mentis in the Awakening trailer, but let's not forget that she spent much of Halo 3 being cyber-tortured by the Flood Gravemind, and that she's absorbed massive chunks of Covenant and Forerunner data. That's an incredibly potent mixture, and the effects will be interesting to watch. She may push through to the hypothetical fourth stage of Rampancy, "metastability", becoming a true person. Or she may "turn evil", as the kids put it. |

I'd assume that if she went 'evil', it might only be for a chunk of the game or trilogy, not evil and we get rid of her.
Perhaps this might bring Halsey into the games since she was sent to the station that was orbiting Installation 03? Have John get in contact with her? |

| Just as long as she doesn't go through the "God" stage of rampacy, those A.I. are annoying and I wouldn't want to be playing a game where cortana is running her mouth all the time saying how amazing she is.

| Like what Crayola and I said, either Master Chief saves her using some Forerunner tech (or Precursor) or he sacrifices himself to stabilize her in some form... 343 can't ignore the fact that she is a borderline rampant AI at the end of Halo 3...

| I doubt it, we're playing a FPS shhooter, not make your own adult video game. It would be interesting but they were never do it. It would also ruin the Halo series.

| I love the Halo storyline and keep up on all the books, but what I really care the most about is the online multiplayer. Although I'm sure it will be a long time before any details about that will be released. |

| With Cortana going rampant and such, isn't there a chance since she might not be so rampant? I mean, she was part cloned from Dr. Halsey's brain so would that make her "live" longer? Or would all the data she gathered on the Halos counter-act that? I'm not much of an A.I. person...

I'm really looking forward to the future of online multiplayer. I suspect that there won't be too many improvements with Halo 4, since the hardware is still XBOX 360. But I have really high hopes that XBOX 720 will have some groundbreaking features. |
