In an attempt to keep everyone up to date with what is going on in Command and more specifically High Command I'll be doing Public Service Announcements from the Commanding Officer every week. They will be on random days and at random times. These will serve as a way to get information out to everyone and reveal new projects or ideas in the works.


New Enlistment System

As you can see our new enlistment system went live on Wednesday. If you need any further information on it please check it's main thread. The Field Manual has also been updated with this information.


Departments

With most of the positions filled departments are going live this Friday. The department heads will receive their orders by Saturday night.


European Platoon Contest

Due to the fact that our European Platoon is always overlooked Callisto and I will be holding a special contest just for them. The winner will receive something Halo related. I understand the cost of shipping to Europe so don't badger me on that. This again is just a way of saying thank you to our smallest but yet important platoon. They give us more culture which many clans don't have. More information will be given about the actual contest next week.

Brigade Wide Contest

A Brigade wide contest will be held here in the next two weeks. The contest will go live Friday the 16th of September. It will be a scavenger hunt in Halo Reach. Simply put you will receive a list of stuff to accomplish in matchmaking and to prove you did it you will save the video clip. The items on the list will range from basic to very weird and possibly disturbing. The name of the contest is "I have to do what!?" More information will be posted by next Friday. This contest is open to all members of the DropShock Brigade and the prize will be Halo related.

Clan Tag

I know a lot of people have been asking about when we're changing. I will be giving a final date of notification set for Friday September 9th. Stay tuned for one final poll and the decision will be announced by next Friday.


The Old New Site

Yeah remember it? We asked for your help in paying for it? Well sadly the new site has too many problems and most of our members don't really like it. Its too clunky and hard to administrate. I know this might piss a few people off but we're working to use it for something. We're still in the idea phase though. To prevent this from happening in the future I will be taking fifty dollars out of my pocket every two weeks and putting it in the Brigade bank to use for site payments and contests. We apologize for this.

These New Game "Teams"

Before I say anything else the Brigade was founded in Halo and that is where we're going to stay. We will not I repeat not be branching out anytime soon. I've had a few members complain to me that we need to branch out and I'm personally saying we will not be. There is plenty to do in Reach and we have new Halo games coming this year and in 2012. You are still allowed to play other games with each other but if they start interfering with Reach you will be warned. This is not up for negotiation. We have plenty of awesome stuff to bring you in the coming weeks to make you love Reach even if you've started to not like it very much.


A Shout Out to Old Members

I'd like to give a brief shout out to some of the oldies that have re-enlisted. Welcome back Rusteh and Elliot! These guys were here a lonnnnng time ago and its great to see them back. Also I'd like to give a shout out to Grakus who has started lurking in our forums again. Its always nice to see old faces.

Yay, I've been noticed! That and I've been trolling around Alpha's games the last two days, along with an assortment of randoms from the other Companies. Just thought I'd like to shout out that I've been having fun. It feels good to be back playing Halo after... what? Nearly three months I'm guessing? No less than two at any rate. I don't think I'm doing too poorly! XD

I like this idea Colonel. It is good to know what is going on and it is obvious that Command is hard at work as always. It looks as though this month is going to be eventful and exciting and I'm looking forward to everything that was detailed.
