I had learned this while playing Infection some time ago. I went into a custom game and decided to check out how in-depth I can go through this glitch/trick.
I found a pretty easy way to traverse the map on Red side and possibly sneak-attack on blue side. Half of this video could be used very easily while the other half probably can only be used effectively in Infection.

You must not have been playing the most recent version of Countdown. If you check on the most recent Matchmaking version, you will die the moment you step foot on the upper area. You can still use the door though.

Are you talking about MLG? Because it works perfectly fine in standard matchmaking (team slayer and such). I did do this in customs with my version of Countdown, but I've done this in Zombies, Slayer, and some other gametypes online.

Pretty cool trick. Unfortunately, I have only played 7 games of Living Dead in Reach and those were against my will. I think this will almost certainly be a hard kill zone in MLG.
